Listed on Wagga Wagga's popular Christmas Display Tour, Flowerdale is a quiet location popular with young couples and retirees. The introduction of the Federal Government's first homebuyer incentives encouraged a strong surge of first home purchases in Flowerdale from 2000 - 2008.
Situated on the outskirts of Wagga, west of Glenfield and south of Ashmont, Flowerdale is a relatively young area. With only two main entrances to the suburb, off Fernleigh Road. Flowerdale is a collection of quiet streets with very little through traffic. Bordered by extensive reserves on its western boundary, Flowerdale enjoys easy access to bike tracks and pedestrian walks.
A blend of older homes and new homes, Flowerdale mostly consists of modern style, three bedroom homes on good size blocks.
