Thank you to all who supported Movember
Now that it’s officially December, it means that Movember is over, and so too is the mo.
Movember takes place throughout the month of November to help raise awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and depression. Men are encouraged to grow moustaches (a.k.a. a mo) to get people talking about their mo and ultimately, men’s health and donating to the charity.
A big thank you must go to all who participated or donated money to this years Movember challenge who helped raise a staggering $2,914.20.
Fitzpatricks Real Estate saw five inspiring men take on the challenge of growing a mo for this worthy cause. It was fun to see some cheesy moustaches and good to know we were supporting men’s health issues at the same time.
These funds have been distributed to Movember’s beneficiary partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) and Beyondblue, the national depression initiative.
When asked if he liked growing a mo, Gary Brown, Property Investment Consultant said “I had a great time looking like “Chopper”, not sure what look I’m going for next year. Maybe the famous Lame-Mo Drummo style” He said it is a fun way to raise awareness for such a worthy cause.
Next year we’ll be looking to support this event again and continue to make the event at Fitzpatricks Real Estate even bigger and better.
