Fitzpatricks men doing their part for Movember
Five inspiring Fitzpatricks Real Estate men, Richard Fitzpatrick, Adam Drummond, Paul Gooden, Gary Brown, and Josh Bett are growing moustaches (‘mo’) to support the Movember appeal. Launched in 2003, the Movember appeal occurs every November, with the aim of increase awareness on issues surrounding men’s health, in particular depression and prostate cancer.
To date, Movember has raised a phenomenal $60 million globally for the fight against prostate cancer and depression in men. And, more importantly, as a direct result, male awareness of health issues has improved with Movember helping to spread health messages directly to millions.
Gary Brown has grown the mo for three years now and believes “raising awareness for men’s depression and prostate cancer is critical as men generally would avoid talking about such problems or seeking professional help… it’s a great cause and I love growing the mo.”
Josh Bett further stated that his goal is to help raise awareness within our community. If he can convince at least one man to take an active interest in his health and visit his doctor for a check up then growing the mo will be well worthwhile.
If you are inspired by Richard, Adam, Paul, Gary and Josh’s efforts and would love to support the mo, you can donate as much or as little as you like to the Movember Foundation.
