How does Wagga compare to other regional centres?

Wagga Wagga has seen a very busy year with 289 property sales pushing the median value of a house to $329,000 and unit to $226,000, a combined median price of $277,500

A combination of home buyer incentives on offer from the government & buyers taking advantage of investment and lifestyle opportunities, Wagga Wagga has seen staggering growth of 16.99% in median house prices in the past 3 years. While the incentives have been scaled back there are still some great opportunities to purchase quality homes and make excellent lifestyle investments.

Regional centres have had very strong growth over the past 3 years and Wagga Wagga is no exception. It has seen steady growth of 4.16% in median house prices in the year to September 30, 2009. So how do we compare to other regional centres?

Albury has seen a move down the scale with the median house price dropping 1.10% to $335,000. Bathurst’s median house price was $252,000 down 2.14%. Dubbo on the other hand has had one of its busiest years in real estate with a growth of 2.23% 743 properties have been sold in the last 12 months at a median price of $249.000.

The median house price in regional NSW is now $326,000 an increase of 3.73% in the past year alone.
